Greenhills Country Hotel is delightfully located down a leafy lane in the historic Norman village of St. Florence. Since 1964 St. Florence has gained numerous awards in the Wales in Bloom, Britain in Bloom and Best Kept Village category. In 1989 it won the prestigious Floral Village of Britain Prize in the Britain in Bloom competition and in 1988 the Prix d’Honour in the Europe ‘Entente Florale’ awards. The village boasts a 12th century Norman church, two pubs, a busy village shop and post office. St. Florence lies some three miles west from Tenby in the Ritec Valley at the foot of the Northern Slopes of the Ridgeway. The southern part of the village straddles the river. The village is served only by narrow, minor roads with the Tenby/Sageston B4318 to the north and the ancient Ridgeway road to the south. St. Florence is very well situated for the best of both worlds. Whilst the village is peaceful and tranquil, all the attractions of Pembrokeshire are within very easy reach. The popular resort town of Tenby with its magnificent beaches and shops and restaurants huddled between medieval walls is only three miles away. Enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride around the narrow streets or take a boat trip from Tenby Harbour to the nearby monastic island of Caldey. Close at hand is the lively village resort of Saundersfoot with water sports facilities centred on the Harbour. Further west. The sea cliffs of South Pembrokeshire offer unrivalled views in all directions for the walker whilst numerous riding stables cater for those who prefer to view the countryside from the saddle. Just ten minutes away there are three golf courses, a sports leisure park with pitch and putt, indoor bowls, clay pigeon shoot and archery. There are three go-cart tracks, Manor House Wildlife and Leisure Park and a Dinosaur Park. A twenty-minute ride brings you to Oakwood the largest theme park in Wales. Greenhills Country Hotel is situated within its own grounds with an outdoor swimming pool, which is heated between May and September. The poolside patio can provide a superb suntrap during the afternoon. There is also a full size sauna and solarium. The large comfortable dining room offers an excellent standard of cuisine using mainly fresh local ingredients. There is a comfortable lounge and lounge bar offering a full selection of beverages all at pub prices. The bar games room with pool table and dartboard opens onto the swimming pool patio. All the bedrooms are well appointed and have en-suite facilities, colour television, hair dryers and complimentary tea and coffee trays. The hotel can offer large family rooms, triple rooms, twin rooms, double and single rooms all of which are centrally heated during the winter months.
